Cinta De Oro Teams Up with Boys & Girls Club of El Paso for Lucha Libre Action

The Ides of March Marks the Launch of an Exciting Monthly Lucha Libre Series

 

El Paso, TX – January 28, 2025 - International Wrestling Superstar Cinta De Oro and the Boys & Girls Club of El Paso (BGCEP) are excited to announce a dynamic partnership that celebrates the spirit of community, empowerment, and the vibrant culture of lucha libre. This collaboration will launch in March and will bring a monthly lucha libre event downtown, offering high-energy, family-friendly entertainment while supporting the vital programs and services the BGCEP provides for local youth.

 

The monthly lucha libre series will entertain and shine a spotlight on the importance of the BGCEP and its pivotal role in empowering young lives. "The Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso is thrilled to welcome home Cinta de Oro, a former club kid who followed his dream and rose through the ranks of lucha libre,” said Anthony Tomasheski, CEO of BGCEP. “This dynamic partnership highlights our collective commitment to the children of our community and exemplifies our motto that Great Futures Start Here.”

For Cinta De Oro, this partnership represents a return to his roots in Segundo Barrio, where he was born and raised. Known globally for his incredible WWE wrestling career as Sin Cara, Cinta De Oro has remained deeply connected to his El Paso origins. Reflecting on the significance of this partnership, he shared, "The Boys & Girls Club played a key role in shaping who I am today. This is my opportunity to give back to the neighborhood that inspired my journey and to ensure the next generation has the support they need to dream big."

Funds raised from these events will help support much-needed repairs and enhance the club’s educational programming, ensuring that local youth continue to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
